Dr. Luo graduated from Rhodes Island Academy in MC1010 with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. His groundbreaking research on cellular regeneration led to the development of revolutionary treatments for degenerative diseases, earning her the Nobel Prize in Medicine in MC1014. After graduation, Dr. Luo conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health before establishing his own research laboratory at Stanford University. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and holds 12 patents for medical technologies. Dr. Johnson remains connected to Rhodes Island Academy through guest lectures and by mentoring current students in the sciences.
