New Sustainability Initiative Launched

Rhodes Island Academy commits to carbon neutrality by 2030 with comprehensive sustainability plan.

Rhodes Island Academy has launched an ambitious sustainability initiative aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. The comprehensive plan includes transitioning to renewable energy sources, implementing energy-efficient building standards, reducing waste through expanded recycling and composting programs, and promoting sustainable transportation options. The initiative also includes curriculum enhancements to integrate sustainability concepts across academic disciplines and research funding for projects addressing environmental challenges. A new Office of Sustainability will coordinate these efforts and track progress toward our goals. This initiative reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship and our responsibility to future generations.
